Honestly, I think Twitter is the better - purer maybe - microblogging platform. Jaiku is like microblogging meets chatroom/web-forum, and I don't always want or have the time to be following that.
And at other times the extra conversation and threads are exactly what I want.
Like I said, they're both good services. I see no reason to pick and choose.

@topgold "Both have their strengths and purposes."
I agree with that. They're similar services but it's not a one or the other choice for me. Conversations, discussions and debates go on at Jaiku with the threaded - and longer - replies, and that can be great sometimes.
On the other hand, the extra restrictions on Twitter make it a better place for a quick browse. It's easier to keep track of with minimal interaction (I tend to just leave the Firefox sidebar open in work, for instance).
Personally, I prefer Twitter. But I like them both just fine.

reviews 5 http://www.jaiku.com/ : Great site, but I think I'm reviewing 'http' now?
(seen as you mentioned website reviews)
Although I'm sure most people leave out the http:// these days anyway. New format sounds good apart from that. A bit more logical and clearer than a full stop.

Sorry, that should be 'Cowon'.

Seems to be working fine here. I've got the latest post ('7 Days in the Valley') in Google Reader.

$ sudo apt-get install aqualung or http://aqualung.sourceforge.net/
For some reason none of my other players (VLC, Listen, Amarok) were giving me gapless MP3 playback.. a far more important feature than wikipedia, lyrics or integrated shop, imho.
